RTCC Organized Spring Ride

The Ride To Conquer Cancer, along with event sponsor Sporting Life, is hosting their Spring Training ride on Sunday 30 April in Markham. Take this opportunity to cycle with your fellow riders and meet your Ride Guides who have been supporting you all year long. Pick their brain for training tips and creative fundraising ideas! Ride routes are 25, 50 and 75km.

In addition, we are calling all FEMALE riders!

There will be a dedicated 25km women’s only ride this year. With an option of going around twice, if desired. This women's-only training ride route is designed to help female riders kick start their training! This route will be fully supported by fellow veteran female riders who will be there to lead the group, help with any bike maintenance that might be required, and to encourage them along the way. After the ride, this group will have a chance to get together and catch up. This is a great opportunity to meet your fellow female riders.

**Please note that these training ride routes will not be supported with road closures, police or pit stops.

**Hydration will be available at the start/ finish location, be sure to bring your own snacks for the route.

Parking will be available on site.

PFAC Team Spring Training Ride

It's time for our first official spring training ride! Whether you are an experienced cyclist or just want to learn how to clip in to your pedals and change gears, this will be a great ride. There's a little something for everyone scheduled.

The day will consist of a 45 minute talk on how to ride in a group and in pace lines, followed by a 1-2 hour training ride. The ride will consist of a 10 km loop on low traffic roads. In this loop there is enough space for training and education (experienced riders paired with novice riders) as well as distance to take off and stretch your legs. The distance you wish to ride is up to you!

Please arrive promptly at 8:45AM!!  Bring everything you need to ride in to the Sports Center Meeting room "B".  This includes including bikes, helmets, shoes, water bottles, etc....By doing this we can start our training ride immediately following our talk on group riding.  We should be completely wrapped up by 12:00.

This is a great event to learn to ride, have your RTCC questions answered and do some team bonding as well!
